Full job description

We seek a knowledgeable Medical Office Receptionist with at least two years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all front desk activities, greet patients, and handle scheduling at a busy physiotherapy clinic. In addition, someone with experience implementing social media in collaboration with staff is expected to maintain our online presence and improve marketing efforts. Our front desk applicants must have excellent writing skills to help create online communications, such as customer newsletters, and be friendly and sociable with patients. Note that this position is for coverage during afternoon/evening hours (approximately 1 PM to 7-8 PM) and Saturdays.

Duties:

Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely fashion
Schedule appointments and maintain the online appointment calendar system/electronic health record system (Jane)
Verify patient payment information and collect payments (in-person and e-transfer)
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Manage patient records and ensure they are up-to-date
Proofread documents for accuracy before submission
Produce and schedule Social Media postings
Fulfill projects and research assigned by management
Provide customer support to patients and visitors
File documents and enter data in an organized manner
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient treatment room utilization

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in a medical office environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Technical knowledge of Windows PC and Microsoft Office
Experience with Jane (online electronic health record and scheduling tool) is preferred but not required
Proficiency with social media platforms (e.g., Twitter/Instagram) and email collaboration tools (e.g., Mailchimp)
Knowledge of physiotherapy treatments and lymphedema is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
