We are currently recruiting for a variety of Legal Assistant positions with some of Canada’s top law firms in Toronto. What you’ll be doing

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide high-quality legal and administrative support to lawyers and their teams. Depending on the practice area, your responsibilities may include:

Drafting correspondence, legal documents, and other materials.
Managing calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings, booking meeting rooms, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Responding to client inquiries and conducting follow-up as required.
Maintaining bring-forward systems and providing timely reminders of important dates and deadlines.
Preparing initial drafts of routine documents using precedents, revisions, comparisons, and track changes.
Maintaining accurate and organized physical and electronic filing systems.
Processing invoices, expenses, and other administrative matters.
Supporting lawyers and legal teams with various projects and assignments.
Handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

What you bring

Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
3+ years of legal experience in one or more of the following areas:
Corporate
Commercial Litigation
Civil Litigation
Wills & Estates
Intellectual Property (Patents/Tademarks)
Commercial Real Estate
Strong understanding of business and legal terminology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal technology.
Knowledge of accounting, docketing, and/or data management systems.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong proofreading, grammar, punctuation, and document preparation skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A professional, client-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

The expected salary range for these positions is $60,000 to $85,000, depending on level of experience, location, and other relevant factors.
