BIG HUG Hospitality, the team behind MIMI Chinese and Sunnys Chinese, is proud open their newest restaurant, Linny’s.

Located on the Ossington strip, Linny’s combines the elegance of a mid-century steakhouse with the comfort of an old-world deli. Offering a nostalgic and sophisticated atmosphere, the restaurant’s decor and ambiance are a tribute to a bygone time. Every detail of the space and experience is crafted with care.

Our Mission is simple. We are in the experience business. Our people first culture will inspire and empower our team to deliver moments that matter in an environment hyper-focused on the guest experience. Together we will build a best-in-class hospitality experience at Linny’s.

The Linny’s menu balances familiar steakhouse classics with timeless deli staples. We are looking for inspired, energetic individuals, who are passionate about the industry, dedicated to providing exceptional guest experience, and strive to deliver lasting memories for every guest.

What you will find at Linny’s is the excitement behind a new launch, and an energetic, passionate team that works together to create an innovative atmosphere that redefines the true meaning of hospitality. You will be responsible for creating a positive, welcoming guest experience that begins the moment a guest enters the door.

What You'll Do

Welcome guests to the venue
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
Manage reservations
Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
Provide access to menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
Greet guests upon their departure
Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
Maintain a clean reception area
Cater to guests who require extra attention
Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables
Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
Assist Servers with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
Remove dirty dishes and utensils
Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items

What You'll Need

Previous work experience in guest services as a host or server in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Experience in managing reservations
Demonstrable customer-service skills
Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
Authorization to work in Canada
