Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen and bakery operations, ensure food quality, and lead a team of culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking experience, and a solid understanding of food safety standards. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of service and efficiency within our restaurant environment, fostering a positive team atmosphere, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food and bakery preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations
Assist in team management activities including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize workflow and service delivery
Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Serve as a role model for hospitality excellence, demonstrating professionalism and leadership

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
Experience in restaurant management or team leadership within the food industry
Experience in baking and pastry making is an asset
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
Excellent communication and team management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, training, and motivating staff
