Full job description

Work with us at some of the best markets in the city. Just know the days are long, the pace can be busy, and the weather doesn’t always cooperate.

A Bread Affair is hiring enthusiastic Farmers Market Sales Representatives for the spring and summer season across the Greater Vancouver area. This is a part-time role with 2-3 shifts per week, on weekends, with start times as early as 6:30 a.m.

We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors year-round in rain, shine, or Vancouver chill. You’ll be the face of BC’s first certified organic bakery, connecting with market customers and sharing your love of real, local bread.

Responsibilities:

Set up and take down market displays, tents, and bread products.
Drive a company vehicle to and from assigned farmers markets (Class 5 driver’s license required).
Engage warmly with customers, share product knowledge, and offer samples.
Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash and card transactions.
Monitor inventory levels throughout the market day and report sellouts or issues.
Support promotions and seasonal campaigns.
Keep the booth clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
Represent A Bread Affair with professionalism and enthusiasm in every interaction.

Requirements:

Available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays Thursdays and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), with early morning start times.
FoodSafe certification preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Able to work independently and manage time well.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs (20 kg) and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.56 per hour
