Full job description

A leading Vancouver intellectual property law firm is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Legal Administrative Assistant to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers, patent and trademark agents, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants while supporting a busy intellectual property practice. The role offers meaningful work, ongoing learning opportunities, and long-term career development within a supportive and team-oriented environment.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will thrive on managing multiple priorities, providing exceptional administrative support, and contributing to a collaborative team while developing expertise in intellectual property law.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preparing legal documents, correspondence, and other documentation

· Managing deadlines, docketing systems, and general administrative duties

· Conducting searches in IP databases

· Filing patent and trademark applications

· Supporting lawyers, patent and trademark agents, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants with a variety of practice-related tasks

· Providing additional administrative and practice support as required

Qualifications and Skills:

· Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience

· Some experience in a law firm environment is considered an asset

· Strong technical skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications

· Positive, proactive, and collaborative approach with a commitment to exceptional client service
