Prep Cook / DishwasherJob Overview

Join our culinary team as a Prep Cook / Dishwasher and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day success of our kitchen.

Pay: Including Tips $20+ an hour.

In this position, you will support food preparation, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and help ensure our kitchen operates efficiently throughout service. You will work closely with the culinary team while developing your knowledge of food preparation, food safety, organization, and restaurant operations.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in being part of a team. Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but we are willing to train individuals who bring the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily food preparation, including chopping, peeling, portioning, measuring, and organizing ingredients.
Ensure prep is completed accurately and efficiently while following established recipes and standards.
Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a consistent supply of clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dish, prep, storage, and kitchen areas.
Follow established food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
Support the culinary team by ensuring ingredients, tools, and equipment are prepared and available for service.
Restock supplies and maintain clean and organized storage areas.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing products when required.
Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Communicate effectively with culinary leaders and team members to support smooth kitchen operations.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food-service environment is preferred but not required.
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
Ability to follow direction, recipes, procedures, and food-safety standards.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude during busy periods.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and completing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and repetitive movement.
Interest in developing additional culinary skills and growing within the kitchen is an asset.
