Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter’s Helper to become an integral part of our team. With Cressey’s dedication to quality top of mind, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our properties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with framing, measuring, cutting, and installation tasks.
Prepare and maintain job sites, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
Assist in demolition, cleanup, and material disposal.
Follow instructions to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Transport materials and supplies between job sites as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.
Assisting with balcony repairs and general construction work
Digging and fence installation
Assembling and moving scaffolding
Drilling concrete
Material handling and site cleanup
Assisting carpenters and maintenance crew on various projects
Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in construction or carpentry is preferred.
Basic knowledge of tools and construction techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Great communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction well.
Willingness to learn and grow within the construction field.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
