About SER, Job Requirements & Certifications, Responsibilities & More Details:

SER is currently looking for skilled and enthusiastic personnel to work on our fleet of research and survey vessels.

Minimum Required Qualifications/Transport Canada Certifications:

Ideal Qualifications/Transport Canada Certifications:

Transport Canada Bridge Watch Certificate
Previous marine experience i.e. - working as a cook and deckhand on other vessels

Please note SER is willing to put select personnel through certifications on a case-specific basis.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Mate or captain duties depending on qualifications and the specific vessel i.e. – bridge watch duties or small vessel operation
On-deck duties (general deckhand duties)
Galley duties including meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning for a crew of varying size

Wages: Vary depending on experience and qualifications as well as project type.

Job Start/Availability: Project dependent
