Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the health and beauty of gardens, lawns, and other green spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the aesthetic appeal and ecological health of various properties.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor spaces attractive and healthy
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for planting, weed control, and soil preparation
Operate power tools like lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws safely and efficiently
Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
Assist with landscape design projects by planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery according to specifications
Monitor plant health and identify pest or disease issues; apply appropriate horticultural treatments as needed
Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are clean and in good working condition
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during outdoor work

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools used in gardening and landscaping tasks
Experience operating power tools safely and effectively in outdoor settings
Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilizing
Strong gardening skills with an understanding of horticulture principles
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance is a plus
Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality landscape presentation
