Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Car Hauler to join our transportation team. This role involves safely transporting vehicles over short and long distances, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of each vehicle. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, and automotive repair, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the automotive and transportation industry to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate car hauler trucks and trailers to transport vehicles between locations
Load and unload vehicles using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
Secure vehicles properly to prevent movement during transit
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and trailer to ensure safety standards are met
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries and vehicle condition reports
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if necessary during transit or at delivery points
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and vehicle status

Experience

Prior experience with commercial driving, preferably as a car hauler or in freight transportation
Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
Knowledge of automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
Experience operating large trucks, trailers, and related heavy equipment is highly desirable
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, securing vehicles, and working in various weather conditions
