Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Structural Draftsperson/BIM Modeler for our Vancouver office with exceptional attention to detail and a strong desire to grow professionally. Our ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, is a quick learner, exceptionally organized and able to work efficiently on their own or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

Working closely with engineers to develop structural drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data, to be issued for a wide range of industries.
Perform drafting using AutoCAD and Revit
Drawings include plans, sections, details, and general notes.
Checking and revising Drawings
Preparing and assisting in the release of drawings and documentation for projects
Actively working on improving drafting skills and increasing knowledge of structural design through self-training, in-house training, and external courses
Develop, edit and maintain 3D designs of building envelopes, structures, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and plumbing using Revit. Identifying conflicts within the drawings and working with the structural engineer/clients to correct
Accountability for schedule and efficiency
Ensure the models are scaled and accurate

Qualifications, Experience and skills

Completion of a Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology, or equivalent
3+ years’ Experience using Revit required.
3+ years using AutoCAD preferred.
Experience working with the BC Building Code
Ability to set up and operate a functional Revit model.
Ability to use AutoDesk Programs to their full capabilities.
Ability to create pre-fabrication spool drawings for the fabrication shop to work off.
Ability to ensure all deadlines are met.
Ability to coordinate with the Project Management team to maintain a flow of information.
Ability to keep accurate filing systems.
Ability to follow corporate policies and procedures.
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction, while also following company standards.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
