As the company enters its next stage of growth, we are seeking an accomplished Sales Director who can establish scalable sales operations, lead strategic business development initiatives, build enterprise partnerships, and contribute to the long-term commercial success of the organization.
This is a senior leadership position intended for an experienced technology sales executive who is capable of building sustainable revenue growth within a fast-paced, innovation-driven company.
Position Summary
The Sales Director will lead the company’s overall sales strategy and commercial growth initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing national and international business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, expanding enterprise accounts, establishing channel partnerships, and building a high-performing sales organization.
As Unicron Technology continues to grow, this position requires an individual who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and is comfortable working within an entrepreneurial environment where business priorities evolve rapidly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s national and international sales strategy.
- Build scalable sales processes, performance standards, and reporting systems.
- Identify, develop, and secure enterprise customers across Canada and selected international markets.
- Generate new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and relationship development.
- Lead negotiations for high-value commercial agreements and enterprise technology contracts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with executive decision-makers, government organizations, strategic partners, and channel distributors.
- Establish annual sales objectives, revenue forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Recruit, mentor, train, and manage sales managers and business development personnel as the company expands.
- Personally manage key enterprise accounts and complex sales opportunities.
- Oversee the complete sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product development, and executive management to align customer requirements with technical solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, networking events, and executive meetings.
- Develop strategic partnerships with technology vendors, system integrators, distributors, and commercial partners.
- Prepare regular sales reports, revenue forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Support commercialization initiatives and market expansion strategies.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
Experience
Applicants must possess:
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible B2B technology sales experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior sales leadership, Head of Sales, Director of Sales, or equivalent executive sales management position.
- Demonstrated experience building or significantly expanding sales operations within a technology company.
- Proven experience leading enterprise sales teams and managing business development professionals.
- Demonstrated responsibility for managing annual sales or business development budgets of at least CAD $1 million.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding annual sales revenue targets of CAD $1 million or greater.
- Demonstrated responsibility for developing and executing strategic sales plans that resulted in measurable revenue growth.
- Experience negotiating and closing high-value enterprise technology contracts.
- Demonstrated responsibility for annual sales portfolios or revenue pipelines valued at CAD $5 million or more.
- Experience developing and implementing national and international sales strategies.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with senior executives and organizational decision-makers.
- Experience working within a start-up, scale-up, or rapidly growing technology company.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an evolving business environment where products, markets, and organizational structures continue to develop.
- Demonstrated experience developing business relationships with domestic and international clients, partners, distributors, or strategic stakeholders.

- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without significant restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following:
- Experience selling enterprise AI, cloud computing, enterprise software, automation, or industrial technology solutions.
- Experience commercializing newly developed technology products.
- Experience helping an early-stage or growth-stage company expand into new domestic or international markets.
- Experience working with government procurement processes or public-sector clients.
- Established professional network within the Canadian technology industry.
- Experience managing cross-border business development and international commercial partnerships.
- Experience supporting corporate growth initiatives, investor presentations, or strategic partnership development.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
- This position is based at the company’s office in Victoria, British Columbia.
- Frequent domestic and international travel is an essential requirement of the position and may account for approximately 30%–40% of working time depending on business requirements.
- The successful candidate must be available to participate in meetings with international stakeholders outside normal office hours due to global time zone differences.
- Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support international business operations, customer engagements, trade exhibitions, investor meetings, and strategic partnership activities.

Compensation & Benefits
- CAD $62.00 per hour
- Permanent full-time employment (40 hours per week)
- Annual performance-based bonus
