Job Description

The casual AV Installation Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing commercial audio-visual systems in a variety of customer environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Perform audio-visual system installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment, rack setup, video displays, cameras, projection systems, media rooms, audio systems and control systems.
Perform cable pulls, crimp, and terminate audio and video cables.
Assist with structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
Troubleshooting issues and final testing of the systems being installed.
All other duties as assigned/required.

Job Skills and Qualifications

Ability to read and follow building plans and wiring schematics.
Ability to lift heavy objects such as assisting with 80” displays or larger.
Ability to work off ladders and/or scaffolding.
Knowledgeable in computer and communication programs.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure with a high level of professionalism.
1-2 years of AV installation experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
Basic tool knowledge and experience using a wide variety would be considered an asset.
Industry related certifications would be considered an asset.
Safety certifications would be considered an asset.
We welcome candidates with related technical experience, including low-voltage installation, structured cabling, security systems, IT infrastructure deployment, electrical apprenticeship, or commercial equipment installation.

The chosen candidate will be required to set up reference calls with past supervisors or bosses.
