Our current opening is for a MOLD MAKER
This position has the overall responsibility for the functional execution of the building of Plastic Injection Molding tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications of tools, dies, prototypes or models
Prepare templates and sketches, and determine work processes
Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools
Build complete tooling, molds, and sub-assembly of projects
Perform complex mold repairs, modifications, welds (if trained), die spot, and complete design changes
Develop and analyze molded parts
Handle the external parts at the customer/vendor
Identify concerns and recommend counter measures
Perform corrective, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on equipment
In the absence of a mold build or mold repair project: machine details, assemble fixtures and custom machines and subassemblies, assist with quoting and processing
Repair breakouts and tooling issues in machines
Test completed tools, molds, jigs or fixtures for proper operation
Consistently model professional and friendly customer service to all employees, customers, and vendors
Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of Mould Making experience
Ability to effectively communicate and establish relationships, credibility, and trust with all levels of employees within the organization
Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, and within a team, to meet project timelines
Able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to read and write English
