Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Experience with hand tools, carpentry, and blueprint reading is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing and construction while contributing to high-quality building projects.

Duties

Assist with installation and repair of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up safety equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate execution of work
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
Support carpentry tasks related to framing, sheathing, or other structural components
Perform general labor duties including debris removal, site cleanup, and material transport
Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or handyman work is preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks for extended periods
Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and carpentry techniques is advantageous
Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing and construction projects
Prior experience with caulking or roofing materials is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
