POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated Bench Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and is looking to build a long-term career in the field.
Successful candidates will begin in our bench repair environment, where they will develop a strong understanding of our products, equipment, and repair processes. As skills, certifications, and performance milestones are achieved, there will be opportunities to advance into a Field Technician role, providing on-site installation, maintenance, and service support for customers.
This position offers a clear career path for individuals who are eager to expand their technical expertise, work directly with customers, and grow within a dynamic service organization.
THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities include:
- Configure, install, repair and maintain a range of cash handling and cash recyclers, smart safes, other cash management solutions and peripheral devices
- Perform preventative maintenance services for a wide range of cash handling equipment and solutions installed at our customer locations
- Responding to customer support calls in a prompt and efficient manner and to meet customer service levels
- Communicate with Service dispatch team to promptly respond to inbound service and support requests
- Completing required service and equipment performance reports as required
- Comply with established operational standards and maintain adequate spare parts inventory to perform service calls
Our preferred team members skill sets include:
- A strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with PC’s, network connectivity, and various software applications
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated ability to apply computer technology to customer requirements for networked products and system solutions
- Post-secondary technical/technologist courses in electronics would be preferred
- Customer Service aptitude, and a desire to provide the highest level of customer service and support
- Excellent time management
- English communication skills
- CompTIA A+ Certification is an asset but not required
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Travel within and outside of your region will be required

Education Level:
- Diploma in Computer and Network Support Technician or similar courses
- Other certificates in related fields: mechanics, electronics, automation, data processing
- Working knowledge of windows
- Logical trouble shooting skills with proven ability to isolate problems at a component, board or software level
- Training in electro-mechanical repair
- Knowledge of vending machine repair, ATMs, retail cash recyclers, smart safes, ITMs or other financial devices in a field service support role, highly desired
- You must have a valid motor vehicle license (Class G) at all times. You are able to provide a clean abstract. A clean abstract is required annually for this position
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years supporting cash recyclers, smart safes or similar hardware and software repair and support experience within an environment with both onsite and remote technical support
- Experience repairing high-speed paper handling machines such as check sorters, mail sorters, currency sorters; ATM’s or copier machines experience is preferred
- Experience with an incident management or field service and support application
- Proven ability to provide troubleshooting assistance to customers in a tech-based capacity
- Experience with network, understanding of TCP/IP networking and configure unmanaged routers
- French is an asset
