THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for all power distribution, fusing, lighting, equipment and motor overloads
Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, as well as participate in continuous improvment projects and complete work orders according to PM schedules
Comply with all applicable legislative policies and procedures (Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental)
Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment
Ensure all work areas are clear of debris and check for hazards at all times
Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislation and company health and safety & safety standards
Report food safety issues to Quality Assurance or Shift Supervisor
Follow all prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP, and GMP procedures
Perform other related duties as required

THE REQUIREMENTS

Electrician Certificate of Qualification 309A; and proof of apprenticeship
2-5 years' industrial electrical experience; mechanical experience an asset
Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist trades team as required
Problem solving skills and good communication are required
Refrigeration Operator experience an asset
Possess excellent attention to detail and organization skills
