Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in both quick service and fine dining environments. This role requires a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage daily operations effectively while ensuring high standards of food safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a cohesive team focused on excellence.
Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha and Micros for efficient cash handling and order processing.
Develop budgets and monitor financial performance to achieve operational goals.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale among staff.
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality control in all kitchen operations.
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and promote ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and culinary practices.
Experience with inventory management and budgeting processes.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience.
Familiarity with various POS systems; Aloha POS or Micros POS experience is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in casual dining, fine dining, or banquet settings is highly desirable.
