Location: WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus)

Position Summary : Clerical function of the Patient Care Unit, reception duties, Including transcribing doctor’s orders. Contribute to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Position supports the NICU, Inpatient Pediatric unit, and Children’s Outpatient Clinic. Candidate will be trained to work in all three units

Position Requirements:

• Post-secondary medical secretarial or health office administration diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Medical terminology

• Previous ward clerk or related office environment experience, including registration skills

• Ability to transcribe doctor’s orders

• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office software

• Effective communication & organization skills • Good attendance record
