Full job description

** $250 DOLLAR SIGNING BONUS AFTER 3-MONTH PROBATIONARY PERIOD **

I Clean Things, or I.C.T., is an industrial, residential, and commercial janitorial service organization.

Our employees’ Health and Safety are our number one concern. We provide extensive training to suit

the hired position. We provide a pressure-free and safe work environment. We are a reliable resource for our customers as we provide janitorial services along with supply management.

We employ members of the community who have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. This position is overseen by our General Manager, but you will be working on your own and managing your own responsibilities with the standard reporting required.

We are seeking mature candidates for a full-time position in Port Colborne, Ontario. We understand compensation and benefits are often the first thing an applicant will review. Rather than placing these at the bottom like most, allow us to show you what makes us different right from the start.

Compensation:

Starting wage of $18.00 per hour; with the intention of increasing wages for committed employees. The increase will be discussed after the 3-month probationary period.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. We offer paid breaks.

You can expect the same hours every two weeks. If it will be different, management will notify you. We will work with you when possible, to bring up your hours to par.

 Minimal On-Site Supervision *You will need to be self-sufficient and responsible for your location. This can be difficult for some, but others excel without constant oversight. *

We understand that this job will not be your #1, and we do not expect it to be. It is most important to us that you take care of your best interest. It is our goal to make sure our staff are happy with their position and feel heard.

Position Summary:

Light to Medium Cleaning –Provide reliable and reputable janitorial services and distribute supplies to our customers. Including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, removal of rubbish, and recycling. Standard reporting is required but training will be provided.

A basic understanding of math and time management skills are required. We happily employ those with a limited understanding of English. We are comfortable working with you through a translation app or other resources. Please indicate this in your application.

Physical Demands:

While reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities, the ability to lift reasonable amounts is required. (50 lbs Maximum) These positions require a great deal of movement, and an ability to complete physical tasks in a timely manner is expected.

Requirements:

 Own transportation (Reliable Transportation)

 Police Check Certified (This is required with position acceptance; we will reimburse you for the cost if not current.)

 WHIMIS (Training is Provided)

 Health and Safety Awareness (Training is Provided)

 First Aid is not a requirement but an asset
