About Scholars

Situated in the heart of Langley, Scholars of Langley Willoughby delivers high-quality tutoring programs grounded in care, excellence, and measurable outcomes. Our customized learning plans are designed to meet each student’s individual learning style, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and enjoyable. With both in-centre and online options, we support students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 in building the skills and confidence needed to thrive in all subjects.

Position Overview

Scholars of Langley Willoughby is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher to join our team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive academic and personal impact on students. Our teachers are central to our success, and successful candidates will receive training in Scholars’ proven teaching methodology. Applicants must be confident teaching high school curricula up to Grade 12. If you are looking for a rewarding and dynamic teaching environment, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

BC or Canadian Teaching Certification (considered an asset)
Enrollment in a Bachelor of Education program or possession of a university degree
Prior experience working with students (preferred)
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to teach small groups of up to three students with strong classroom management
Proficiency in teaching Math and/or Science up to Grade 12, including Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Data Management, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry
Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per week during operating hours

Schedule

Monday - Thursday between 3:00 - 8:00 pm
Saturday between 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (required/preferred)
Minimum of one year of tutoring experience (preferred)

Language Requirements

English (required)
French (considered an asset)

Location

In-person role
Unit CRU 210, 19885 76A Avenue, Langley

Commuting Requirement

Must be able to reliably commute to Langley or relocate prior to start date

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
