PROSPERITY WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS Maintenance Quality Assurance Manager

Aviation | Quality Assurance | Full-Time | Winnipeg, MB

*Must have Post-Secondary in Aircraft Maintenance, QA, or related field*

Employment Details

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (evening/weekend availability required as needed)
Travel: Frequent travel required for audits, inspections, and QA activities
Security Requirements: Must obtain and maintain applicable Transportation Security Clearances
Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

About the Opportunity

Prosperity Workforce Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an aviation industry partner for a key leadership role within their Quality Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aviation professional to contribute to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within a well-established maintenance operation.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Maintenance Quality Assurance Program—outlined in the Maintenance Policy Manual and related documents—complies fully with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).

This role plays a critical part in maintaining aviation safety standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all maintenance operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance Management

Support and manage the Quality Assurance system as outlined in the Maintenance Policy Manual
Ensure compliance with CARs through structured audit processes
Identify, document, and recommend solutions to quality issues
Verify corrective actions resulting from audit findings
Maintain and distribute all required QA manuals and documentation

Auditing & Reporting

Conduct base and supplier audits
Report audit findings accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain confidentiality and secure audit documentation
Submit audit reports in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements

Regulatory & Safety Compliance

Participate in reviews of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Technical Bulletins
Support workplace safety and health compliance initiatives
Assist the QA Manager in all aspects of the QA function

Team & Stakeholder Support

Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies as required
Collaborate with maintenance, flight operations, and regulatory bodies
Support special projects and assigned duties

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (required)
Post-secondary education in Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation, Quality Assurance, or related field (preferred)

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Data Control, or Records Audit
Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations and compliance standards
Ability to interpret technical manuals and regulatory requirements

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Collaborative, professional, and detail-oriented approach
Willingness to travel as required

Mandatory Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain Transportation Security Clearances
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Current Criminal Record Check
Adult Abuse Registry Check

Assets

Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset

Working Conditions

Office-based role with regular travel to aviation sites, facilities, and subbases
Frequent travel for audits, inspections, and QA activities

Physical Requirements

Prolonged computer use and sitting
Occasional walking or standing during site visits
Ability to carry audit materials and documentation

Desktop or laptop computer
Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, analysis, and presentations
