Journeyman Welder – Manitoba

Job Overview
We are an established Manitoba-based operation seeking an experienced Journeyman Welder to join our team. We value quality workmanship, safe work practices, and a positive, collaborative attitude.

Position Summary

The Welder will perform high‑quality welding, fabrication, and repair work on a variety of components and structures. This role requires someone reliable, skilled, and comfortable working in all Manitoba climates, both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, Stick and other welding processes according to blueprints and schematics
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
Operate fabrication equipment including plasma cutters and band saws
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments for precise fabrication
Conduct rigging operations using cranes or forklifts to move and position materials
Prepare parts for welding and assembly as needed
Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure quality and safety standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements

Welding Certification (mandatory)
10+ years of welding experience
Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and welding procedures
Experience with rigging, crane operation, and forklift handling
Skilled with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, and measuring tools
Solid understanding of basic math for fabrication measurements
Strong commitment to safety and safe equipment operation
Able to work in all Manitoba weather conditions
