About Us:

At Land Studio and Cafe, we offer movement for the soul. Our studio is rooted in yoga and has grown into a full body + mind studio, offering group classes in Strength training, Yoga, Pilates-inspired flows, somatic movement, breathwork and meditation. (oh and a run club!)

We're also home to a vegetarian cafe that fuels the body and community with thoughtful food and drink. Together, our studio and cafe create a space for personal growth, friendships, community, and joy.

Job Overview:

We're looking for an experienced Strength Instructor who can deliver challenging, engaging and sweaty workouts while creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Our classes combine functional strength, mobility, and intentional movement—and are designed to help people feel stronger, more capable, and more connected. We have created Land Signature classes that will give you a template for creating classes, while leaving room for instructor personality and creativity.

Responsibilities

Lead 60 minute, small-group mat based strength classes using dumbbells, resistance bands, bodyweight and functional movement patterns.
Create class plans that integrate mobility, stability, and strength, appropriate for various levels, within the framework of the Land Signature strength class.
Offer clear cues, modifications, and support participants of all body types and experience levels.
Set up and clean up mats, weights and cloths before/after class.
Cultivate an environment of encouragement and intentionality.
Engage with clients before and after class in a warm, welcoming way.
Maintain studio cleanliness and equipment organization.
Be open to feedback, growth, and collaboration with the Land team.

What you bring

Certification in Group Fitness, Personal Training, or Strength & Conditioning
Positive, engaging energy with the ability to motivate and connect with a room.
Confident coaching presence with excellent cueing and communication skills.
Ability to coach proper movement mechanics while keeping classes engaging and flowing.
Strong background in strength-based formats: resistance training, mobility-integrated strength, etc.
1+ years of group instruction experience in a boutique or mindful-movement environment.
A body-aware teaching style with an understanding of inclusive, non-competitive fitness.
Reliable, communicative, and aligned with Land’s mission of presence, sustainability, and care.
BONUS: CPR/AED certification.

Nice to haves

Background in yoga, Pilates, or somatics.
Knowledge of nervous system regulation or mindfulness techniques.
Desire to grow with our studio and contribute creatively to offerings or workshops.
