Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Site Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role involves monitoring access points, overseeing surveillance systems, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and experience in security operations. Prior law enforcement or loss prevention experience is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding our facilities while working in a professional environment.

PAY RATE: $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr ( Depends on certificates/experience/events )

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the site by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
Operate and oversee surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity around the clock
Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
Enforce company policies related to loss prevention and safety protocols
Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns
Assist in implementing security procedures and protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
Conduct routine inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or issues

Experience

Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is highly desirable
Familiarity with surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and monitoring techniques
Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations
Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activity quickly
Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
Previous experience in surveillance or CCTV monitoring is a plus

Requirement

Fluent in English ( Required )
Valid Ontario Security Guard License (Required )
First Aid certificate ( Required )
Security Guard Experience ( Preferred )
