This is really a nice place to work with, I joined as a collector here few years ago..

Initial training was fast & efficient for two weeks to just dial then moved forward to actual collection. I’ve got promoted 4 times which gave me a lifetime opportunity to show my leadership capabilities.
Company has Transparent & Open Communication environment. Even Branch Manager sits with the collectors and
accessible all the time to everyone.
The Owner of the company is really passionate and always ready to listen new ideas from the team
and work cohesively. 
Most of co-workers are helpful and work in a collaborate way, which makes this place more enjoyable & stress free. 
Regular Pot-Luck lunches, Barbeque, Christmas Party, Halloween Celebration, Birthday Cake Cutting, Valentines day’s
fun are the way of MJR Capital.
All shifts are designed in such a way which give you a great balance between work and personal life and
Management is highly flexible to change if you need it.
Company recognizes for Hard Work very well and that is highly motivating and encourages for a healthy competition
among all the collectors. I really appreciate their monthly Reward & Recognition activity.
Of course there is a room for improvement also like company needs to expand more so that it can create more opportunities 
for all the collector. 
But overall I shall recommend MJR Capital because it’s a cushy job and if you have little determination in your mind you will 
have Fun & career opportunities.

From the outside looking in MJR seems like an attractive environment. This is however over shadowed by an un-caring, greedy owner, a clique or high-school like work culture and a total lack of sympathy from much of the upper management. Management loves to write people up, in fact I'm 80% sure there goal is to get at least 3 write ups on you as fast as possible. If you are one minute late in signing into your station, expect to be written up.. they go around in the mornings handing them out. This is done so that when you miss your target once, it's game over. If you miss a day they dock you, yet they put pressure on you to work unpaid Saturdays..  that's not a joke. You are required to have licensing to work this job, they first give you these for free. However on your final paycheque they will dock the entire amount from you, it's good to note that the amount to be fully licensed is $800 - $1000. Furthermore the only transferable license is the Ontario Licence for one month, the remaining provinces and territory licenses are useless pieces of paper apon exiting the company. You can make alot of money, that's arguably the only pro of MJR, but realize you have to sell your soul in order to achieve it.

As a collection agency, you will be on the phone for pretty much the full day reaching consumers who owe money to clients including major banks, utilities, insurance companies, credit card companies, etc.  You're expected to hit targets and when you do, you make commissions.  Earning commissions at MJR is fairly easy compared to other places I've worked at, and I can earn a lot of commissions every month.  MJR uses a lot of supporting technology to help me be successful including avatars, scripting support, lender partnerships and payment methods to build a good base (PADs and credit cards).  They also have a legal team where you share the commission with legal (and not lose your best files to the legal team like in other companies).  Management is accessible, but they're busy and sometimes it's hard to get training or support, but staff are friendly and helpful.    

This is the worse place I've ever worked. You will apply for any position put out but they'll let you be a dialer for you to transfer calls to the collectors. The work environment was stressful and overbearing the boss pressure the dialers to get customer when 90% of the calls are wrong number. You get minimum wage as pay, no benefits after 9 months they take vacation money from your pay and you're entitled to it after a year working there but they'll fire you so you can't get it. No commission no incentives as dialer and as a collector it is hard to make also no overtime.Bear in mind they'll fire you saying they're reducing headcount but still hiring people. The HR manager watch what you wear but let others wear what they want. Everyday they fire someone or someone walks off. 
MJR CAPITAL SERVICES MISSISSAUGA LOCATION THEY ARE USERS ! If you have more than one interviews please don't choose them because they'll use you then fire you. Give another company your time and service. 

MJR Capital Services has to be one of my favourite work environments. The entire team is friendly and hardworking. They are all very encouraging and always ready to give a helping hand when in need. The management is awesome and understanding, working along with you to meet goals and maintain high standards. 

I have never worked in this business before, so I was quite nervous when starting, however, I was given the appropriate training for my position and felt extremely comfortable working alone when the time came. I am pleased with how this job is going and can see it becoming a career more than just a job. 

If you are looking to join a team where everyone has the same goal in mind and is always ready to help you reach those goals, then MJR is the place to apply to.

Shifts are normally 8:30 am to 6:00 pm for 3 days a week and from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm for 2 days a week and every other Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. A regular day would be me coming in setting up my computer signing in to 2 different programs and building a work briefcase. its First party collections so we get all the new business first, accounts 30- 60 days past due. Its outbound calling so we would call customers and set up a date as to when they can pay their minimum payments. we do not take payments over the phone we tell them where to go pay- bank, in store, over the phone, online ect.. we educate them on their current credit rating and let them know their next due date and amount. We collect our whole shift and try to hit our daily target.

MJR Capital was alright depending on the shift. Very long hours and attendance is a must. If you are punctual regularly you will have no problem here. 
Typical day at work was not bad as I had great people to keep me company. Friendly competition with co-workers helps the day go by faster. 
The supervisors were good people but made bad decisions because of higher managements lack of interest in their employees. 
The hardest part of your job is working file to file and learning how to dig for the right party contacts. 
The most enjoyable part of this job was during lunch and breaks when co-workers can get together and complain about higher management.

MJR is a circus. They tell you you'll be paid $16/hr during the interview but it is a LIE. Less than two hours of training and they immediately put you on the phones. Then scrutinize every little thing you do forgetting they barely gave you any training.
All they care about is their money and their immature little circus. As a new staff they treat you like you do not exist. They claim to have rules but the same people making the rules are the same ones breaking them. Also they make you work 42.5 to 44 hours a week but they don't pay you for overtime. There is a whole lot to say about them but let me just stop here. It is not worth it. I won't refer my enemy to work here.

Management and owner treats everyone like garbage!!! Their attitude is “everyone is replaceable”. They get mad when your personal life (kids, sick family member) effects work and expects you to make up the time missed. They don’t want you to ever take a day off even thought your entitled to vacation (you ONLY get 2 weeks, doesn’t matter how long you work for them) They expect you to come in weather you have the flu, broken leg (there is no elevator in the office) or even have shingles (which is contagious) They don’t care about the well-being of their staff and do the bare minimum when it comes to anything (staff safety, benefits, breaks, vacation, etc) 

the  most terrible job i have ever done.  they kept me for 5 months and then just fired me on the spot. i lost my social life and everything for this and in the end they just blame it on my calls.  they complained about my tone when the girl in front of me sounded worse that i, too much work for  13. 50 i was looking for a part time to pay for school but i guess i will go to summer school instead becaus i cannot deal with  idiots like this again.  that same day they fired me,  they hired another guy.
