I started with University Sprinklers in 2008 when I decided to take a year off from University before going to do my Masters in Urban Planning! Now 10 years later I am a Sales Manager and love my Job! Never in a millions years did I see myself as a successful Sales Person. But University Sprinklers with its team first environment and wiliness to put personal effort and training into anyone who wants to advance in the company made it an easy decision to stay! I have made life-time friends, love working with all of our employees and take pride in providing a work environment that is fun, pays well, respects and understands family and allows for  both professional and personal growth. Is the job always easy... NO.. but there is no better place to learn the values of hard work, team play and if you so choose- develop valuable social, managerial and organizational skills that will help you in any career. If your looking for a career or just summer job to pay for tuition this is one of the best companies to work for!

The workplace culture is awesome at University Sprinklers. There is a variety of work on a weekly basis that keeps me interested and always learning something new. A huge positive is that you are continuously taking courses and becoming certified in irrigation, that is, if you want to - it's not mandatory.

The hardest part of the job is meeting the busy demands in the summer season, but you also get paid overtime, so it's a benefit at the same time.

The most enjoyable part of the job is connecting with everyone at company wide training sessions and staff parties - they ROCK!!!   Another plus, is that they treat you to breakfast once a month at casual breakfast meetings at White Spot.

Another advantage, is you don't have to have a university education - they value your enthusiasm and hard work and reward you for it.

University Sprinklers is a company that not only appreciates the work it's employees offer, they also provide plenty of opportunity for growth, they are very flexible with schedules, and they strive to maintain excellent communication.  As a student University Sprinklers has allowed me to quickly transition from school to work without a worrying about finances, and as a seasonal foreman I get to enjoy my summer out in the sun all day long. The job can be physically and mentally demanding sometimes, however, they are fully aware of the labour demands and make sure you are well compensated for your hard work.  All these reasons make University Sprinklers the best job I have ever had by far.

University Sprinklers has and continues to be a great place of employment for me. I started working with them as a service technician as I had years of irrigation experience. They have helped and supported me gain more exposure to an abundance of irrigation and landscape lighting projects. They have also supported by sending me to courses for expanding my knowledge and skill set of these systems for both servicing and new installation. The University Sprinklers team supports myself and all its employees with a family-operated mindset where we are treated as individuals and not just employees. I can only recommend University Sprinklers as a great place to work!

In my career with University Sprinklers I started as a labourer and have moved up respective to my skills improving and have always felt fairly treated.
I have learned a tremendous amount of product information and service skills. We are a mobile company and during the busy season it's a challenge staying on top of all of our clients needs but we do a great job and I am proud to work here.

University sprinklers has a team that is very understanding and motivating. You can move up quickly in this company if you show that you are motivated enough to take the next step. The work is not extremely difficult physically, but you definitely will get a good amount of exercise. Unfortunately their forgiving nature will see people put into positions of installation foreman who aren't quite ready, though they usually learn as they go through that experience.

After working as a service technician for several years, I have come to know and appreciate good employers.  Since joining University Sprinklers, I have felt appreciated and supported.  They give you all the necessary tools for success in this industry and actively work to improve.  They reward your dedication and hard work.  Great company to work for!

I started working for University Sprinklers over a decade ago - as a summer job. It was great summer work for a student. Culture and work environment was awesome - they provided training over the years and I stayed - once they showed me a path to a career, I jumped in with both feet and never looked back!

Very physically demanding job with long hours, no benefits and mediocre pay. Great people but they have grown accustomed to their backwards ways. Management is over worked, IT infrastructure is from the 80s and there isn't really any culture to speak of because there is so little interaction between people in the company.

I've been working for this company for about 4-5 months now and every experience between site foreman, sales personal and office workers has been beyon great! There's room to grow in the company and competitive wages! If you're hard working and willing to put in the time this is the company for you.
