WHAT'S THE JOB?
Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Junior BIM Technician to join our passionate, talented team to participate in an exciting mix of local and not-so-local projects. This role is based in Vancouver, BC.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Develop structural design drawings and 3D models according to Aspect’s project quality standards
Execute BIM projects of all sizes
Prepare design submissions and other technical documents
Be proficient with Revit model and drawing production
Be proficient in family and parameter management and development
Perform detailed drafting under the mentorship of the senior team members
Contribute to the team’s technical knowledge resources
Collaborate with team members across other offices in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Contribute to a fun and welcoming work environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

0 to 3+ years of experience in a similar position with a background in commercial, residential and/or institutional projects.
Technical degree/diploma/certificate from a related program
Strong skills in reading, interpreting, and producing structural engineering plans and details
Strong Revit skills, including family modification, model, and parameter management
A keen eye for aesthetics and an appreciation for clear and well-coordinated drawings
Ability to self-motivate and work independently, seeking support as necessary
Great communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

EXTRA AWESOME:

Experience with architecturally expressive structures in a wide variety of building materials
Background in CAD/CAM fabrication software
Experience with Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper or other parametric modelling experience
Experience with BIM360

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

Base Salary CAD $53,000 – $65,000 (will be commensurate with skillset and experience).
