Ten Ten Sinclair Housing is a non-profit, consumer-driven organization dedicated to supporting people with physical disabilities to live independently in the community. We provide accessible housing and attendant services that promote dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Position Summary

Ten Ten Sinclair Housing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our administrative team. Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, this position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees while supporting payroll reporting and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all staff using Payworks.
Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Prepare and complete assigned payroll reports.
Assist with payroll-related benefits administration.
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, CRA requirements, and payroll regulations.
Prepare T4s and maintain payroll documentation.
Interpret and apply collective agreements in a unionized environment.
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
Support other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience; experience with computerized payroll systems is an asset.
Experience using Payworks is required.
Human Resources training with an emphasis on Payroll and Benefits, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreements.
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation, CRA tax laws, payroll compliance, and T4 preparation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with databases and spreadsheet software is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Successful Criminal Record Check.

Pay: $20.88-$22.43 per hour
