Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Finisher/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various concrete projects, including finishing, formwork, and site preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction practices, with experience in concrete finishing and related trades. This position offers opportunities for hands-on work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces to meet project specifications.
Assist with rebar installation and placement to reinforce concrete structures.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
Assist with concrete forming, caulking, and installation of flooring or other related finishes.
Support masonry work and restoration tasks as needed for renovation projects.
Handle heavy lifting and material movement around the job site while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other trades to coordinate project activities.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
Knowledge in steal forms and grey beams
Skilled carpentry perfered
Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, and masonry techniques.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques including smoothing, troweling, and texturing, and full use of a power trowel
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, welding, caulking, and site operations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining physical stamina.
Experience (2-5 years) in construction environments with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.This role requires a motivated individual with a solid background in construction trades who is committed to safety standards and quality workmanship. Prior experience with concrete finishing or related skills is highly valued for this position.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
