JWe are a thriving, high-volume fresh meal program in the GTA, currently producing over 1500 fresh, wholesome meals per week across a twice-weekly delivery schedule. We pride ourselves on clean, whole-food nutrition and highly disciplined, scalable kitchen operations. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a dedicated culinary leader to spearhead our kitchen operations and grow with us for the long term.

The Opportunity:

This is not your typical head chef role. We are seeking a foundational leader. While your initial focus will be mastering and running our day-to-day production, inventory, and kitchen team, this role is intentionally structured for long-term growth. For the right candidate, this position will evolve to take on significant business responsibilities, offering a distinct path toward operational autonomy and potential business partnership/ownership as the founder transitions to a more supportive role.

What You’ll Do (Immediate Responsibilities):

Production Leadership: Oversee the execution, portioning, and plating of 1,500+ fresh, macro-tracked meals weekly, ensuring pristine quality control and food safety compliance.

Kitchen Management: Lead, mentor, and schedule our kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative, high-energy, and efficient work environment.

Inventory & Logistics: Manage supplier ordering, food cost tracking, and ingredient prep timelines to align perfectly with our strict twice-weekly delivery windows.

Menu & System Consistency: Maintain exact recipe standards for our diverse menu variations, ensuring flawless consistency at scale.

Where You’ll Grow (Future Trajectory):

Take on high-level administrative, financial, and strategic business operations.

Manage cross-kitchen partnerships and scaling logistics.

Earn increased autonomy, operational ownership, and a seat at the table for long-term business equity/succession planning.

Who You Are:

Experienced: You have 3–5+ years of leadership experience in high-volume production kitchens, catering operations, or meal delivery systems.

System-Driven: You thrive on structure, timelines, and logistical efficiency. You understand that high-volume plating requires mathematical precision and exceptional organization.

A Natural Leader: You lead by example, maintain composure under pressure, and know how to keep a kitchen team motivated and on schedule.

Growth-Minded: You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You aren't just looking to clock in and cook—you want to understand the business of food and are looking for a long-term professional home where your responsibility and rewards grow over time.
