Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The bartender will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, handling cash transactions, and creating a memorable experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and customer preferences
Use POS systems to process orders accurately and efficiently
Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions, and recommend drinks or menu items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times
Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for transactions
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy hours

Experience

Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts
Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs
Experience in hospitality or food service environments is highly desirable
