Phasor Engineering is seeking a Field Commissioning Lead to support utility and infrastructure projects across North America. In this role, you will lead the testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization.

What You’ll Do
- Lead field testing and commissioning activities for MV/HV systems and protection & control schemes
- Support utility, industrial, and energy infrastructure projects across North America
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and startup
- Support outage, energization, and commissioning activities
- Mentor and support junior team members and field crews
- Assist with commissioning procedures, startup documentation, and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, and technical stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with corporate, client, and industry safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification
- 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments
- Strong hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience
- Experience working with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure
- Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required
Requirements
This is a field-based position requiring travel and extended out-of-town work to various sites across the country. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada. Background checks and Drug & Alcohol testing will be required as part of employment, and must have a valid driver’s licence with clean abstract.

Expected annual earnings: $175,000–$245,000, inclusive of base salary and overtime (actual earnings may vary based on experience and project requirements.)
