What does a Senior Project Manager do at WPP Production?
About the Role: We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to drive the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-volume production campaigns for one of the world's most iconic luxury heritage brands. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role where you will act as the trusted partner for client stakeholders and the bridge to our internal production teams. You will own the regional execution of global and local campaigns, ensuring every deliverable is on time, on brand, and on budget and report to the Production Engagement lead
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Own the Project Lifecycle: Act as the ultimate authority on project status, resource allocation, budget tracking, and scope management.
- Navigate the Ecosystem: Master workflows and platforms to seamlessly guide cross-functional teams through the content production pipeline.
- Build Trusted Partnerships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, agency partners, and internal production specialists.
- Execute with Excellence: Balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution across lines of business, a broad mix of production deliverables (Video, Print, Digital, Web) and concurrent workstreams.
- Champion Global Alignment: Serve as the regional point person for global initiatives, ensuring local execution matches the brand's premium worldwide standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Process Optimization
- Production Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the definitive internal and external authority on high-volume primary production, delivering swift, strategic, and actionable guidance on all inquiries.
- Workflow Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine internal workflows to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality across all primary projects.
- Implement & Optimize Scalable Solutions: Ensure implementation and optimization of engagement processes to ensure the highly efficient, scalable delivery of video, digital and print content.
End-to-End Project Execution
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete project lifecycle—from initiation to final delivery—actively managing scope, creative briefing, and milestone tracking for all primary assets.
- Global Collaboration: Author clear, precise, and comprehensive production briefs for onshore and offshore teams, ensuring flawless alignment, accurate execution, and seamless cross-border delivery.
- Project Closure: Establish and manage robust project-closing documentation to ensure key learnings and financial reconciliations are captured.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Lead weekly status meetings with clients, agency partners, and internal teams to maintain absolute transparency, momentum, and alignment.
- Proactive Communication: Act as the central communication hub, delivering clear updates on project health, timing, and budgets, while proactively identifying potential blockers and executing swift resolutions.
- Accountability & Ownership: Demonstrate a highly proactive, entrepreneurial approach, taking complete personal ownership of project outcomes, timelines, and client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience & Industry Expertise: 7+ years of progressive project management or production experience within an integrated creative agency, production house, or similar fast-paced environment. Automotive experience a plus.
- Production & Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of the creative development process, primary production pipelines (video, digital and print), creative technology, QA testing, and modern marketing methodologies.
- Financial & Scope Management: Proven experience in bottom-up scoping, building and managing project budgets, tracking actuals, and authoring detailed Statements of Work (SOWs).
- End-to-End Delivery: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-volume projects (or major components of multi-million dollarmillion-dollar initiatives), consistently delivering on time, on scope, and on budget.
- Problem-Solving & Stakeholder Management: A natural problem-solver capable of designing win-win solutions for clients, creative teams, and production partners without compromising creative quality or project integrity.
- Leadership & Presence: A calm, confident, and highly accountable leader who thrives under pressure and navigates complex, matrixed agency environments with professionalism and grace.
- Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to foster collaboration across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Tools & Platforms: High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), workflow mapping tools (such as Visio), and modern project management/ticketing platforms (e.g., Workfront, JIRA, Smartsheet, SharePoint).
