Social Media Content Creator (On Camera)
Escapes.ca | Full-time | Hybrid | Vancouver | Travel Required
Read This Part First
We are not looking for someone to "manage social."
We are looking for the face and the engine behind Escapes.ca video content. Someone who can stand in a resort lobby in Cancún, spot the one shot nobody else is filming, capture it clean, and turn it into a video that stops a Canadian scrolling at 9pm in February and makes them book.
You will travel 2 to 3 times a year. You will be on camera. You will ship a lot of work.
Do not apply if:
- You need a full brief and three approvals before you pick up a camera.
- Travelling to Mexico and the Caribbean on short notice does not excite you.
- You want to be behind the scenes.
- Your portfolio is pretty but has never moved a number.
Apply if:
- You already film and edit on your own time because you cannot help it.
- You think in shot lists while you are walking through an airport.
- You want ownership of a channel, not tickets in a queue.
- You want your work behind paid media, seen by hundreds of thousands of Canadians, and judged on results.
About Escapes.ca
Escapes.ca is a leading Canadian online travel agency specializing in all-inclusive vacations. For 25 years, we have helped Canadians book unforgettable beach getaways with expert advice and superior support. Our audience is real Canadian travellers planning their winter escape from Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Halifax and every gateway in between.
Video is how we win the next chapter. We need someone to own it.
The Role
You are the primary on-camera talent and the producer behind Escapes.ca video content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn.
You will host, shoot, edit, publish and report. You will travel to resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean to capture footage that becomes organic content, paid ad creative, landing page assets and email campaigns. You will hit the street in Canadian winter and interview real people about their vacation plans.
Every piece of footage you shoot should be sticky enough to earn a view and strong enough to run as an ad. That is the standard.
You will work directly with the Growth Marketing Director and Performance Marketing, so your creative decisions connect to bookings, not just impressions.
This is a marketing and content production role. It is not a travel advisor, booking or sales role.
