WHAT YOUR DAYS LOOK LIKE
You'll be the senior face of Grove on service and maintenance calls across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley — diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gas furnaces, heat pumps (including cold-climate systems), ductless mini-splits, central AC, boilers and hydronic systems, hot water tanks, and tankless/combi units in occupied homes, plus occasional light commercial work.
You'll run your own calls with real autonomy: diagnose accurately, quote transparently, fix it properly, and document it in Compnay cam so every customer sees exactly what you did. You'll handle performance checks and preventative maintenance, take your share of emergency calls, and keep your service reports clean.
When a system is genuinely done, you flag it for our comfort advisors — you will NEVER be pushed to sell people equipment they don't need. And you'll mentor our junior techs, because A-players make the whole team better.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required:
- Valid BC Gas Ticket (Class B minimum; Class A welcome) in good standing
- 5+ years of residential HVAC service and diagnostic experience (troubleshooting, not just installs)
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Self-managed, detail-obsessed, comfortable with modern tech and apps in the field
- The kind of communication skills that turn a stressful no-heat call into a 5-star review
Nice to have (tell us — it moves your rate up):
- Air conditioning & refrigeration licence or Journeyman Refrigeration / Red Seal endorsement
- Hydronic/boiler service experience (IBC, Navien, Rinnai combi systems)
- Light commercial service experience
- Experience mentoring apprentices
