Ingénieur(e) électrique

Vous souhaitez mettre votre expertise en génie électrique au service de projets technologiques ayant un impact environnemental concret?

Notre client, une entreprise québécoise innovante spécialisée dans les technologies propres, conçoit des systèmes destinés à la production de gaz renouvelable. En pleine croissance, l’entreprise recherche un(e) ingénieur(e) électrique qui deviendra une référence technique pour ses installations électriques et ses systèmes d’automatisation.

Ce rôle stimulant combine conception électrique, programmation PLC/HMI, SCADA, acquisition de données et mise en service.

Votre rôle

Vous contribuerez au déploiement à grande échelle des systèmes automatisés utilisés dans les usines de purification du biogaz. Vous participerez également à la centralisation et à l’analyse des données afin d’améliorer la performance des équipements et de prévoir certaines défaillances.

Plus précisément, vous serez appelé(e) à :

Programmer, concevoir et configurer des systèmes PLC et HMI;
Réaliser ou diriger les essais FAT et SAT;
Concevoir des panneaux de contrôle avec AutoCAD Electrical;
Sélectionner et dimensionner les composantes électriques : câbles, fusibles, contacteurs, démarreurs, relais de surcharge, etc.;
Concevoir et optimiser les schémas unifilaires (SLD);
Réviser et approuver les spécifications techniques et les dessins;
Participer aux certifications de produits CSA/UL et CE;
Assurer le respect des codes électriques applicables, notamment en zone à atmosphère explosive;
Soutenir les équipes de ventes et de mise en service;
Participer aux initiatives d’amélioration et de réduction des coûts;
Collaborer avec les différents départements afin d’améliorer continuellement la performance des produits;
Structurer et maintenir la documentation technique.

Profil recherché

Baccalauréat en génie électrique, en production automatisée ou dans un domaine connexe;
Membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
De 2 à 5 ans d’expérience pertinente;
Bonne maîtrise des codes électriques canadiens et américains;
Expérience avec AutoCAD Electrical;
Connaissances en instrumentation et contrôle : transmetteurs de pression et de température, moteurs contrôlés par variateurs de fréquence (VFD);
Excellentes aptitudes de communication en français et en anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit.

Atouts

Connaissance des normes applicables aux atmosphères explosives, notamment IEC 60079-10-1 et IEC 60079-13;
Expérience avec les systèmes SCADA ainsi qu’avec l’acquisition et l’historisation de données;
Connaissances en architecture de réseaux, bases de données ou cybersécurité;
Maîtrise d’un langage de programmation comme Python, C# ou similaire.

Our client, a growing Quebec-based clean technology company, designs advanced systems for renewable gas production. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical expert for their electrical installations and automation systems.

This exciting role combines electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, SCADA systems, data acquisition, and commissioning.

Your Role

You will contribute to the large-scale deployment of automated systems used in biogas upgrading facilities. You will also help centralize and analyze operational data to improve equipment performance and anticipate potential failures.

More specifically, you will:

Design, program, and configure PLC and HMI systems;
Perform or lead FAT and SAT testing;
Design control panels using AutoCAD Electrical;
Select and size electrical components, including cables, fuses, contactors, starters, overload relays, and more;
Design and optimize single-line diagrams (SLDs);
Review and approve technical specifications and drawings;
Participate in CSA/UL and CE product certification processes;
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, including hazardous location requirements;
Provide technical support to the sales and commissioning teams;
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance;
Develop and maintain technical documentation.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automated Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field;
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
2 to 5 years of relevant experience;
Solid knowledge of Canadian and U.S. electrical codes;
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical;
Knowledge of instrumentation and controls, including pressure and temperature transmitters and VFD-controlled motors;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.

Assets

Knowledge of hazardous area standards, including IEC 60079-10-1 and IEC 60079-13;
Experience with SCADA systems, data acquisition, and data historian platforms;
Knowledge of network architecture, databases, or cybersecurity;
Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, C#, or similar.
