Fusion Laser is an industry leader in high value component repair and refurbishment, machining and welding processes such as laser hardening, laser cladding and laser welding. We also specialize in additive manufacturing, metallic 3D printing and design build of our own machines. We are currently seeking a qualified CNC Milling Machinist for our machining team at Fusion Laser.

Key Skills & Job Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 2 years machining experience
Experience running CNC mills, either 3-axis or 5-axis
Set up and operate CNC mill machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints
Programming experience at the controller and with Master Cam or other software's such as Power Mill, Lemoine, etc.
Ability to use various measuring tools such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers and Dial Bore Gauges
Mechanically inclined with an understanding of how to use hand tools and reading a measuring tape
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job such as: standing, walking for extended periods of time, bending, and lifting heavy objects (a minimum of 50 lbs.)
Familiarity with use of a forklift and overhead crane (we will also provide training on both)
General Machinist Certificate is an asset
Ability to train an apprentice machinist is an asset
Keep machines and surrounding workspace clean while maintaining a safe organized work environment
Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Follow safety guidelines, procedures and practices when operating equipment
