Full job description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Kaycan has an exciting career opportunity for a Millwright based in Acton to join our team. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

Responsible for safely and effectively repairing, testing, installing and maintaining production equipment and facility systems
Identify and troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns on extruders, cut off machinery, packaging equipment, power transmission, power transfer systems, compressors, pumps, grinders, process water cooling systems, shipping doors and gates
Work with and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, seals and alignment of couplings
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as well as breakdown repairs
Fabrication for equipment repairs and/or upgrades
Fit and assemble parts using a variety of hand tools
Perform other duties as assigned

Straight 8 hour/ Day Shift

On call support based on operation needs

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed Millwright (433A)
3-5 years related experience, preferably in an industrial capacity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with welding, fabrication, repair of all equipment found in a manufacturing plant
Experience with machining, mill, lathe, grinder, etc. would be an asset
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional team members
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
Capacity to identify short term and long term countermeasures for production problems that arise specifically when extruding plastic
Passion for teamwork, ongoing learning, continuous improvement and maintaining a respectful environment.
Support a call-in system for emergency repair
Willing to work overtime upon request
Proficient with MS Office products
Strong accuracy/organizational skills
Must be able to troubleshoot basic problems independently
