Sales Director

Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Reports To: General Manager
Direct Reports: Local Account Managers, National Account Managers, Construction Manager

Wilcox Door Service Inc. is a family-owned Canadian company with over 100 years of experience providing commercial and industrial door, loading dock, and building access solutions across Ontario and Canada. Our reputation has been built on exceptional customer service, technical expertise, and long-term customer relationships.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Director to lead our sales organization and help drive the next stage of our growth.

Position Summary

The Sales Director is responsible for leading the company's sales organization, developing high-performing sales professionals, and executing strategies that drive profitable revenue growth.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role oversees our Local Sales Team, National Sales, and Construction Sales while ensuring consistent execution, accountability, and customer-focused selling across the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will spend time coaching the sales team, reviewing pipelines, supporting key customer opportunities, analyzing performance, and building scalable sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop the Local Sales, National Sales, and Construction Sales teams.
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and weekly sales meetings.
Establish clear sales goals, expectations, and accountability measures.
Recruit, onboard, and develop future sales talent.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Sales Management

Oversee daily sales activity and pipeline management.
Ensure opportunities progress through the sales process efficiently.
Monitor prospecting activity, customer meetings, quotations, and follow-up.
Support the team on strategic customer meetings and major opportunities.
Ensure Salesforce CRM is maintained accurately and consistently.

Business Growth

Develop and execute strategies to grow:
Service Revenue
Planned Maintenance Agreements
Retrofit & Modernization Projects
Construction Projects
National Accounts
Identify new markets, target customers, and growth opportunities.
Strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic partners.

Performance & Analytics

Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
Develop sales dashboards and KPIs to drive accountability.
Present performance updates and recommendations to the General Manager.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with Operations, Service, Purchasing, Finance, and Marketing to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Support pricing strategies, margin improvement, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required

Minimum 7 years of progressive sales leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years managing a team of sales professionals.
Proven success driving revenue growth within a service-based or industrial business.
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and CRM systems.
Highly analytical with the ability to use data to improve performance.

Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following industries:

Commercial or Industrial Service
Building Products
Construction
Facilities Maintenance
Loading Dock Equipment
Commercial Doors
HVAC
Mechanical Services
Material Handling

Salesforce CRM experience is considered an asset.
