Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical or dental office setting, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Prior experience with office management systems and medical terminology is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to patient well-being and efficient healthcare delivery.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service
Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and confirming patient visits
Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
Prepare patient charts, scan documents, and ensure accurate documentation of medical/dental histories
Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry
Handle correspondence, faxing, mailing, and other clerical duties to keep the office organized
Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant required
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and familiarity with dental or medical office procedures
Experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
Office experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to assist patients effectively

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
