Cannabis Product Expert (Budtender / Sales Associate)

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Cannabis Product Expert to join our growing team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences, enjoy learning new products, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, eager to develop their cannabis knowledge, and driven to achieve both personal and store sales goals. We value team members who take initiative, enjoy helping others, and contribute to a positive, professional workplace.

What You'll Do

Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and educational shopping experience.
Build relationships with customers while providing personalized product recommendations.
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of cannabis products, accessories, consumption methods, and current industry trends.
Accurately process customer transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
Assist in achieving store sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products that enhance the customer's experience.
Maintain attractive, organized, and fully stocked merchandising displays.
Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments and inventory counts.
Ensure all cannabis regulations, company policies, and compliance standards are followed at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment.
Work independently while contributing positively to the overall success of the team.

Is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

Required:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid CannSell Certification.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency and comfort using POS systems.
Basic math skills and experience handling cash accurately.
Ability to lift and move product shipments as needed.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required):

Previous retail sales experience.
Customer service or hospitality experience.
Cannabis retail experience.
Knowledge of cannabis products and accessories.
Experience working toward sales goals or KPIs.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
