Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong analytical skills to assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and account analysis. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proficiency in bookkeeping are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and financial records.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting tasks.
Support budgeting processes by preparing financial reports and forecasts.
Maintain organized records of financial documents, invoices, and receipts.
Collaborate with auditors during financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities.

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
Knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently.
Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting.
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $17.55-$25.00 per hour
