Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to pioneer our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment dedicated to pet care and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing according to client specifications and breed standards
Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
Assess each dog’s coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or products
Handle dogs safely and gently, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns
Manage appointment schedules efficiently to accommodate client requests and ensure timely service delivery
Assist with heavy lifting when handling larger or heavier dogs during grooming procedures

Qualifications

Prior experience in dog grooming or related pet care services is preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting of large dogs
Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and gentle handling techniques
Good organizational skills to manage appointments and maintain a tidy workspace
Ability to work well within a team environment while providing exceptional pet care services

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
