Chateau Symmes Retirement Residence located in Aylmer Quebec, is looking for a Maintenance Director to join our team!

As the Maintenance Director you would be responsible for the building’s preventative maintenance program and housekeeping department. You would coordinate the maintenance and repairs involving the building and the grounds, including the pool, and you would manage maintenance contracts. In addition, you would be responsible for day-to-day maintenance/housekeeping issues and would response to residents’ maintenance needs.

You would work with other departments in order to coordinate the maintenance and repair activities with other building functions so as not to disturb or interrupt resident activities or normal business functions.

The successful applicant will have:

Proven experience in the maintenance of equipment and building systems, including basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and safety systems.
Ability to self-regulate and work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Two doses of the Covid vaccine

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Preventative maintenance
Inspection and maintenance of facilities to maintain a safe and attractive environment
Responding to emergency situations
Maintaining an adequate inventory of day-to-day supplies.

La Résidence pour retraités Château Symmes, située à Aylmer (Québec), est à la recherche d’un Directeur de la maintenance pour se joindre à notre équipe!

À titre de Directeur de la maintenance, vous serez responsable du programme d’entretien préventif de l’immeuble ainsi que du département d’entretien ménager. Vous coordonnerez l’entretien et les réparations du bâtiment et des terrains, incluant la piscine, et vous gérerez les contrats de maintenance. De plus, vous serez responsable des demandes quotidiennes d’entretien et d’entretien ménager, et vous répondrez aux besoins des résidents en matière de maintenance.

Vous collaborerez avec les autres départements afin de coordonner les activités d’entretien et de réparation de manière à ne pas perturber les activités des résidents ni les opérations normales de l’établissement.

Le candidat retenu devra posséder :

Une expérience démontrée dans l’entretien d’équipements et de systèmes de bâtiment, incluant des connaissances de base en CVC, plomberie, électricité et systèmes de sécurité.
La capacité de travailler de façon autonome et de s’autoréguler.
D’excellentes aptitudes en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.
Deux doses du vaccin contre la COVID‑19.

Les responsabilités incluront, sans s’y limiter :

L’entretien préventif
L’inspection et l’entretien des installations afin de maintenir un environnement sécuritaire et attrayant
La réponse aux situations d’urgence
Le maintien d’un inventaire adéquat des fournitures quotidiennes
