About Us

Mechlines Contractors Ltd. is a growing mechanical contractor specializing in commercial and institutional construction projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Sheet Metal Worker / HVAC Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing HVAC equipment and sheet-metal duct systems in accordance with mechanical drawings, specifications and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

Install sheet-metal ductwork, fittings, dampers, louvers, grilles and related HVAC components
Install rooftop units, air-handling equipment, exhaust fans and other HVAC equipment
Measure, lay out, modify and assemble ductwork and sheet-metal components
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and shop drawings
Coordinate installations with other trades and site supervision
Identify installation conflicts and report them to the project supervisor
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts and other construction equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of commercial or institutional sheet-metal experience work experience is required

Valid driver’s licence is required
308A Sheet Metal Worker licence is preferred
G1 Gas Technician licence is preferred
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork installation methods
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable, punctual and able to communicate effectively
Must follow company and site health-and-safety requirements
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Registered 308A apprentices with strong commercial installation experience are encouraged to apply.
