The successful candidate will assist with various value-added maintenance tasks and projects. Your ability to apply your technical reasoning and practical skills in a do-what-it-takes team environment will be rewarded.

Responsibilities:

Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, fans, and generators.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems specific to plastic foam extruders and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation and repair.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine work procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and minimal production disruptions.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Education

Experience with Plastic Foam Extrudes and related packaging equipment
Mechanical Degree/Diploma would be an asset
Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) experience would be preferred
Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter who can multi-task and change priorities
A valid class G driver’s license
Good computer literacy
Excellent numeracy skills.
