Sommaire du poste :Le technicien en pathologie clinique est responsable de la réalisation d’analyses de laboratoire sur des échantillons biologiques, conformément aux plans d’étude, aux procédures opératoires normalisées (PON) et aux bonnes pratiques de laboratoire (BPL).Principales responsabilités :

Préparer les matériaux et les solutions, opérer et entretenir l’équipement, notamment les analyseurs de chimie, d’hématologie, de coagulation, d’analyses urinaires et autres.
Effectuer tous les tests requis sur le sang, le plasma et autres liquides biologiques ou homogénats de tissus, incluant l’examen microscopique des frottis sanguins et de l’urine.
Consigner les observations manuellement ou transférer les données dans un système informatisé conformément aux SOP et aux BPL.
Effectuer les procédures de contrôle de la qualité internes et externes.
Participer au développement de nouvelles méthodes et à la validation des instruments.
Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe requise.

Qualifications requises :

Diplôme d’études collégiales (D.E.C.) en techniques de laboratoire médical ou dans un domaine connexe.
La lecture et l’écriture de l’anglais sont obligatoires puisque toute la documentation d’étude est produite en anglais; maîtrise du français requise pour les communications internes.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Pathology Technician is responsible for performing laboratory analysis of biological samples in accordance with study plans, SOPs and GLP.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepares materials and solutions, operates and maintains the equipment such as the analyzers for chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis and others.
· Performs all required tests on blood, plasma and other biological fluids or tissue homogenates, including microscopic examination of blood smears and urine.
· Records observations manually or transfers data to on-line computer as per SOPs and GLP.
· Performs internal and external Quality Control procedures.
· Assists in developing new methods and validates instruments.
· Performs other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

D.E.C. in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
Reading and writing of English is mandatory as all study documents are produced in English, Fluent in French for internal communication.
