THE ROLE

The Food Expeditor is the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, controlling the flow of the pass and ensuring every plate reaches the correct guest at the right time, prepared accurately and presented to standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate the timing, sequencing and release of dishes for each table and course.
Verify plate presentation, temperature, portions, garnishes and order accuracy before service.
Identify modifications, allergies and special requests, confirming they are executed correctly.
Communicate clearly and decisively with cooks, servers, support staff and restaurant leadership.
Anticipate service pressure points, manage competing priorities and protect the flow of the kitchen.
Maintain a clean, organized and fully prepared pass throughout high-volume service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Previous experience as a Food Expeditor in a busy restaurant environment.
Strong understanding of kitchen terminology, menu components, coursing and service timing.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to recognize errors before food leaves the pass.
Calm, confident and highly organized under pressure, with a clear sense of urgency.
Direct, professional communication skills and the judgment to prioritize in real time.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
